Emergency Management

Emergency Management The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for the emergency preparedness programs of the City in dealing with any type of man made or natural disaster. By law the senior elected official, the mayor, is the Director and a coordinator is appointed in accordance with City ordinance to manage the program on a day to day basis.

The Office of Emergency Management maintains a Hazard Mitigation Analysis Study of any potential disasters that could occur and affect the City. A complete emergency plan has been completed, and approved by the State Division of Emergency Management, that addresses all areas of preparedness such as communications, evacuations, shelters, and warning, just to name a few. Refer to the Emergency Management Information page.

This function is staffed by one person.
