AND CONTROL

We Care!

OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC HEALTH AND
SAFETY FOR THE CITIZENS OF LIVE OAK AND THEIR
PETS THROUGH EDUCATION AND ENFORCEMENT.

Services Provided:

  • Handles complaints regarding loose animals, injured or dead animals, biting and attacking animal incidents, and animal cruelty.
  • City licenses sold.
  • Database kept on all city animal licenses.
  • Small animal traps loaned.
  • Arrange low cost vaccination clinics with local veterinarian.
  • Conduct education programs with local elementary schools.
  • Provide assistance with wildlife nuisances.

We are located at 8001 Shin Oak Drive, behind City Hall.
Our hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We are closed on holidays.

Animal Control Poster Contest Winner Click link for PHOTO! - Congratulations to James Hancock Jr. from Crestview Elementary School 3rd grade, who won the grand prize for the 2007 Animal Control Poster Contest during National Animal Bite Prevention Week! "Please Control Strays, Neuter & Spay", the winning poster implores. The City's Animal Control vehicle is sporting a copy of James' poster wherever it goes for a year!
