LinksEmergency Preparedness Web Site
The new web site – A new brochure from the Department of Homeland Security – Get Ready Now, can be downloaded from the site. It contains some useful information on disaster planning and on how to create a family plan and supply kit. Copies of the brochure are also available in the display rack in the City Hall lobby, along with numerous others on emergency preparedness. All citizens are encouraged to develop a family disaster plan and have some basic emergency supplies on hand, that are outlined in these brochures. These plans are not just for homeland security issues, but for all possible disaster situations like severe weather or in the event a hazardous materials accident should occur. In addition to this new web site, you might want to visit the following sites at the link provided for additional information regarding emergency preparedness.
