H.B. 3693 - Energy Conservation

H.B. 3693: Energy Conservation: The change in this bill requires more energy conservation. The two issues that concern the city are:

  1. The government entity reporting of utility services says that if the entity is responsible for payments for certain utility services, the payments of the those costs be recorded electronically in metered amounts and the costs of electricity, natural gas and water and be reported on a publicly accessible and easily navigable Internet Website.

  2. Each political subdivision is required to implement energy efficiency measures to reduce their electric consumption in existing facilities by five percent during each fiscal year for six years beginning September 1, 2007.
