The Live Oak Fire Department's primary mission is to protect and enhance the high quality of life for the citizens and visitors of the City of Live Oak from adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. Our goal is to provide a model customer-oriented Fire Protectection program through innovative, proactive and cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.

The efforts of the Live Oak Fire Department combined with the diligence of our citizens have made Live Oak a safe and prosperous community.
We are an active community partner and have established many mutually beneficial relationships with other community organizations including the City of Live Oak Police Department, Bexar County Fire Marshall’s Office, the Combined Emergency Services Organization (CESO), the City of Schertz Emergency Medical Services, as well as school districts and utility providers. The fire department is continually searching for opportunities to improve our services, promote efficiency, increase community and firefighter safety while maintaining financial stewardship.
