Fire Department Tours
Live Oak City Fire Department enjoys sharing our facility and a little bit of history with our community. We will conduct tours, during our business hours 8:00 to 5:00, of our fire station. We believe it is important to inform our citizens about Fire Safety and to be pro-active with our community. Whether you have little ones or adults we would be happy to meet you and show you around your local fire station. If you haven’t experienced the hospitality of our Fire Chiefs and Firefighters please feel free to call 210-653-9140 ext. 243 for an appointment today.
Every year The Live Oak Fire Department sponsors a Holiday Food Basket for citizens of Live Oak that might need a helping hand for the holidays. All recipients will remain anonymous. If you know a family in need of this service please contact Chief Gerry Galindo at firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-653-9140 ext. 243. A letter will be sent out to confirm that the family would indeed like to receive the food basket. We would like to thank all those who so generously donated this year.
On September 11, 2001 the peace and security of our nation was shattered by cowardly terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 innocent and brave people at the World Trade Center towers in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in the pristine fields of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The terrorists' goal was to strike a powerful blow to the hearts of all Americans and tear the fabric of our nation. An unprecedented, historic bonding of Americans arose from the sense of collective shock, unifying the country in an outpouring of national strength, pride, selflessness, generosity, courage, and service. 9-11 will never be just another day in the hearts and minds of all Americans. We, as the City of Live Oak, will never forget the sacrifices made on that day. We will honor and respect those who pointlessly gave their lives on September 11, 2001 with a ceremony starting at 8:30am around the Fire Departments' Flag Pole. Please join us in honoring and never forgetting those who gave their lives.
