Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest

Each year, students from Crestview and Ed Franz Elementary schools participate in the Live Oak Fire Department Poster Contest during Fire Prevention week. Students from each school are judged separately and awards are issued to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each grade level. Winning posters are selected based upon how creatively the student incorporates the yearly Fire Prevention Week theme into the poster. This year’s theme was “Have 2 Ways Out”. One poster is selected as Grand Champion from all of the winning posters. In addition to receiving an award, the Grand Champion winner is invited to ride in Ladder 3 during the Fire Prevention Week parade.

A panel of judges is formed from volunteers of local Live Oak businesses. The 2012 Poster Contest judging panel consisted of The Lion & Rose, Steve Rascher, Biff Buzbys, Mrs. Donna Humphreys & Wendys, Mrs. Cora Brittian.  We greatly appreciate your time and effort in this event.Congratulations to all of the 2012 Poster Contest winners!
