A huge thank you goes out to all our wonderful Commission and Board members along with our faithful citizens, and volunteers that come out each year to help man the inflatables and games for the kids on Halloween Night. The rain didn’t scare anyone away! Special thanks to the team from Raising Cane’s for all their assistance.
This year’s hayrides, pictures with Santa and roasted marshmallows with the Firefighters were a huge hit with the children and their families in attendance. We thank all of the volunteers assisting in the event to make it a memorable event for the community.
Thank you to all our sponsors!

Halloween and Christmas would not be the same in Live Oak without our friends from AT HOME. A huge thank you to Max Kitten and his team for decorating the corner of the Fire station with fabulous Halloween décor and adorned City Hall’s lobby year after year with beautiful Christmas cheer. Thank you AT HOME for being a great community partner!
Mayor Mary Dennis and Council would like to extend their gratitude to Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union in partnering with the City Wide Community Shred Day. Because of the efforts of the community and our commitment to protecting the environment and preserving our natural resources, we were able to recycle 16,011 lbs., saved 136 trees, prevent 24 cubic yards of landfill space being used, saved 16 barrels of oil & saved 56,039 gallons of water. Since 2011, RBFCU and the City has properly shredded and recycled 178,950 pounds of paper.
Thank you to the wonderful residents of Live Oak for the generous food donations received during the Community Shred day and the weeks leading up to the annual Holiday Food Basket delivery. With your generosity, the Fire Department was able to provide a holiday feast to over 75 deserving families within the community. The complete holiday meal baskets were delivered to the families by Fire Fighters along with Chief Foster and Asst. Chief Galindo.
Bangkok Cuisine prepared a buffet style meal for our staff members in every building to enjoy. Owner, Varaluck Kaowsan, has been feeding our employees the week before Thanksgiving since she opened in 2002. We thank Varaluck, her family and the Bangkok staff for their generous gift during the holiday season.
