Ready to respond!

The Live Oak Police Department offers numerous Community Oriented Policing Programs which are of interest to the residents of the city. At the top of the list we provide:

Out of Town Program where citizens are urged to call in and report when they are to be away from their residence for extended periods. The officers will then visually check the location during their shifts. This offers residents peace of mind when they are away. We also have an Extra-Patrol Program which is designed to cater to residents who have security concerns that they wish to make us aware of. This could be anything from the observance of suspicious activity, to domestic problems, and the department operates under an open door policy where visitors are welcome.

Live Oak is one of the few departments in the area who offer the vehicle unlocking service free of charge. Persons are asked to sign a Waiver of Liability in the unlikely event that their vehicle is damaged during the procedure.

To new residents of Live Oak, we at the department provide an information packet which outlines the numerous services that are provided by the department. The information also includes a list of routinely enforced ordinances, blank forms for some of the existing programs, and emergency phone stickers. If you did not receive one, or would like a copy of the packet, we welcome you to visit our department. Any questions regarding the information above can be directed to Lt. Matt Malone at 210-653-9140 ext. 116.

The Police Department's non-emergency administrative telephone number is (210)653-0060.
